T-30SECONDS
A downloadable game for Windows
Game Description:
You fall through a crumbling hole in the ground into a long-abandoned retro-futuristic science facility. As the dust settles, a cold, synthetic voice echoes through the halls: "Unauthorized presence detected. Initiating self-destruct protocol in 30 seconds"
You're trapped. The countdown begins.
But not all is lost. Deep within the labyrinth, you discover an experimental time-reversal device left behind by the facility's scientists. With it, you can rewind time itself—if you have the power. Scattered throughout the facility are energy cells, each one letting you turn back the clock just a little bit more.
Your only chance of escape is to collect enough energy to rewind time beyond the moment you fell… and get out before the facility is lost forever.
Goal of the Game:
Your objective is to escape the facility by collecting power cells and using them to rewind time far enough to reverse your fall into the maze. The game ends when either:
-
You rewind time all the way back to before you fell.
-
The 30-second countdown reaches zero and the facility explodes.
How to Play:
-
W / A / S / D – Move your character
-
R – Rewind time (consumes time-energy from your device)
-
T – Return to the last checkpoint
-
E – Interact with objects (terminals, doors, energy cells, etc.)
Time Device:
-
Your time-reversal device shows how much rewind energy you have left.
-
Collect energy cells to refill the device.
-
Each rewind moves you back in time, pushing back both your personal timeline and the facility’s countdown.
-
The more energy you collect, the further you can rewind.
Exploration:
-
Navigate puzzles, locked doors, collapsing platforms, and twisted hallways.
-
Discover clues about the facility’s past and what went wrong.
Checkpoints:
-
Activate terminals to set new checkpoints. You can always return to the latest one using T.
Tips:
-
Rewind strategically — sometimes moving backward is the only way forward.
-
Not every path leads to freedom — keep track of energy locations and dead ends.
-
The clock is always ticking, unless you're rewinding it.
This game was made as part of the GMTK Gamejam 2025 we are greatfull to have been part of this project.
We incorporated the theme Loop
Unfortunately, we couldn’t include every feature, sound, or model we created, as time ran out toward the end of the project.
We still hope you enjoy playing the game!
